Chuck Morris Wikipedia, Api, Jokes, Net Worth, Age – Authorities announced Sunday (April 9) that they have found the bodies of Lotus percussionist Chuck Morris and his 20-year-old son Charley, who disappeared last month while on a kayaking excursion in Fayetteville, Arkansas, after conducting an exhaustive search that lasted nearly a month.

The father and son’s bodies were discovered 24 days after they went missing on March 16, according to the Benton County Sheriff’s Office. Using nationwide resources, including underwater drones “in challenging environments beyond 180′ depths,” the effort began last month at Beaver Lake’s South Lost Bridge Village, according to a Facebook post from the Sheriff’s Office.

The bodies of Charles Morris IV (Chuck-Father) and Charles Morris V (Charley-Son) were found after 24 days of recovery efforts thanks to technology and personal efforts, the post said.

The band said on March 21 that the restoration operation had taken the place of finding the pair. At the time, they stated, “We are all praying for a miracle, but at this point the search for Chuck and Charley has moved into the recovery phase. Although the K9 team has identified a possible location on the lake, practical difficulties such as temperature, weather and depth have so far impeded recovery.

The potential duration of these activities is uncertain. We plan to celebrate the lives of Chuck and Charley, our memories of them and what they mean to so many others, even though we are mourning.

The group released a statement from Charley Morris’ family Sunday in a tribute post, saying, “Our family has been informed by the Benton County Sheriff’s Office that Charley Morris has been located. We have determined that drowning was the cause of his death. While teams are currently actively looking for Chuck Morris, we still believe in their work.

Lotus, a band formed in the late 1990s, is a favorite on the electronic and electronic music circuits in North America, performing at prestigious venues including Colorado’s Red Rocks Amphitheater and New York City’s Terminal 5 as well as the clubs, festivals, and gigs at Camp Bisco, Gem & Jam, and Okeechobee.

While Lotus has more club and festival activities scheduled through September, it is unknown at the time of publication if Lotus will still play all those gigs after Morris die or not.

Upcoming performances by the band are two benefit concerts for the Morris family at the Fillmore Auditorium in Denver, Colorado, on April 21 and 22, another benefit concert at XL Live in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, on May 5 and Wednesday at the Capitol Theater in Port Chester, New York, on May 6.

The tribute post mentioned performances and a GoFundMe being set up to help the family with emergency expenses. They said: “Thank you all for the support you have given us from around the world; We feel it and we love you just as much. We anticipate interacting with more Lotus lovers at future benefit events.
