Christopher Gerald Bart-Williams, known as Chris Bart, was a talented English football coach and professional player who had a passion for the game from a young age. He played as a defender and midfielder in the English Premier League for notable clubs like Sheffield Wednesday, Nottingham Forest, and Charlton Athletic.
Starting his football journey at Leyton Orient, Bart-Williams impressed by scoring on his full debut for the club at just 16 years old. He went on to make significant contributions during his time at Sheffield Wednesday, making over 100 appearances and scoring 24 goals. Later, he joined Nottingham Forest, where he spent six-and-a-half years, played 245 matches, and scored 35 times.
In addition to his domestic success, Bart-Williams also had footballing experiences internationally, representing England at the youth level and playing for England under-21s.
After retiring as a player, he ventured into coaching in the United States, working as an assistant coach for the Women’s Premier Soccer League side, SoccerPlus Connecticut.
Unfortunately, Chris Bart-Williams passed away at the age of 49 on July 22, 2023, while coaching in the United States. The cause of his death has not been publicly disclosed yet.
