Chijioke Edeoga was born on October 2, 1964 to Mr. Jonathan and Mrs. Jemimah Edeoga in Omelor Mgbuyi, Eha-Amufu in Isi-Uzo LGA.

Chijioke Edeoga graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN). He also holds a bachelor’s degree in law from the University of Buckingham UK.
He holds a Master of Laws from the University of London.
Career Chijioke Edeoga
Chijioke began his political career in 1992 when he was appointed press secretary by the executive governor of Enugu, Dr. Okwesilieze Nwodo.
He was also elected president of the Isi-Uzo local government area of Enugu State.
Chijioke was elected to the House of Representatives, where he became Chairman, the Information Committee of the House of Representatives and, therefore, the Speaker of the House.
He is also an advisor on legislative affairs to the vice president of the Nigerian senate, Senator Ike Ekweremadu.
Chijioke was appointed special assistant to former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan on congressional affairs.
He is a former environment commissioner in Enugu and a candidate for governor in 2023 for the Labor Party.
He initially contested the governorship for the people’s democracy party (PDP), but he lost to Peter Mbah. He then left the PDP in July 2023 and joined the Labor Party.
