“This is my beautiful first born granddaughter Carolyn Maria . We got devastating news yesterday of her passing. Our family is fractured and numb and tears will not stop. She just graduated from Slippery Rock and got her first teaching job….she loved her kids. This was so unexpected and so hard to understand. She had just turned 23 and was so excited about starting her life outside of school. I will miss this sweet loving talented child for the rest of my life. My heart is broken….love you always and all ways Sissagirl!!”

Carolyn’s passion for life extended to her love for laughter, spending time with friends, and her beloved dog Mocha, whom she shared with her boyfriend Tyson. She was known for her unwavering advocacy for equality and respect for all, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of those who knew her.
