Carlos Forbes, 29-year-old, dies in a tragic motorcycle accident in Virginia Beach

Virginia Beach – In a somber incident on Monday morning, a fatal crash involving a motorcycle occurred on South Independence Boulevard in Virginia Beach. The tragic event unfolded in the 1900 block of South Independence Boulevard, situated near the intersection with Lynnhaven Parkway. Authorities were alerted to the scene shortly after 9:45 a.m.

The motorcyclist involved in the crash was identified as 29-year-old Carlos Forbes, who tragically lost his life at the scene. The Virginia Beach Police Department confirmed that the incident involved two vehicles, though details regarding potential injuries to others were not specified.

Martin Murillo shared,

A father, a son, a brother and a great friend to many people out there. We met in sixth grade at Millenium in Keyboard class, you were always smiling and I was the kind of person to always have a smile on my face too, I instantly knew we’d be friends for a long time. On September 18, 2023 Carlos Forbes, a beloved husband, father, son , brother and friend passed away unexpectedly leaving behind his loving wife, Lauren and two children Talia and Max. If you’ve ever meet Carlos you know how much his family meant to him and how much he loved them. You if you were having a bad day, how easy it was for him to make you laugh and smile. He was a shining light to any and everyone he came across. He will truly be missed by so many.

Following the incident, the Virginia Beach Police Department promptly closed the road between Dahlia Drive and Nesbitt Drive to conduct an investigation. This closure was announced through a traffic alert shared around 10:30 a.m. However, as of 2:20 p.m., the road was reopened, allowing normal traffic flow to resume.

The community mourns the loss of Carlos Forbes and is reminded of the importance of road safety and caution while traveling.
