Brainerd, Minnesota – In a somber announcement, B93.3 shares the heartbreaking news of the passing of Brian Moon, a cherished colleague, friend, and well-known host of the Brainerd Outdoors Show. Known as Brian Moon to the lakes area listeners, and as Bill Cynor on KLZ the Power Loon afternoons, he was a beloved figure in the community for over a decade.

William “Bill” Cynor, aged 48, departed this world on Tuesday, September 19, 2023, at the University of Minnesota Hospital. He was a vital part of the radio community, hosting Brainerd Outdoors on B93.3 and KLZ the Power Loon afternoons, bringing joy and camaraderie to countless listeners throughout the years.

Bill Cynor’s warm-hearted nature and infectious personality made everyone feel at ease, embodying the true spirit of community. His passion for radio was evident in the way he connected with his audience, leaving an indelible mark as Brian Moon. A dedicated sports enthusiast, Bill took pride in engaging with the community through memorable events like the Vikings/Packers rivalry, displaying his fervor even in good-natured wagers and sporting showdowns.

The Celebration of Life for this remarkable individual is scheduled for Saturday, September 30, 2023, at Nash-Jackan Funeral Home in Ladysmith, WI. Friends, family, and admirers are invited to pay their respects during the visitation at 10 a.m., followed by a poignant Scripture Service led by Deacon Craig Voldberg at 11 a.m.

Bill Cynor leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter, survived by his parents, Jack and Janice Cynor of Cumberland, siblings, nieces, nephews, and an extended family that held a special place in his heart. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Julia Cynor and Raymond and Ruth Tennison, along with several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
