Brea bank robbery suspects sought after police chase ends near Angel Stadium in Anaheim

Authorities in Brea, California, were in pursuit of suspects involved in a bank robbery, which led to a vehicle chase to Anaheim. The chase ended near Gene Autry Way and Union Street, where multiple suspects fled the vehicle and scattered into nearby businesses and apartments.

Anaheim police, called in to assist with the pursuit, took charge of the search for the suspects, with the SWAT team leading the operation. The bank robbery had occurred earlier in the day at a Wells Fargo Bank branch on South State College Boulevard in Brea.

The chase eventually ended near Angel Stadium in Anaheim, and an hours-long standoff ensued. An Anaheim resident reported receiving an alert from their apartment building management, instructing them to shelter in place due to the suspect entering the apartment building.

Finally, around 7:15 p.m., the Anaheim Police Department announced the conclusion of the search, and the roads were reopened safely. The identities of the suspects and the details of how the standoff ended have not been disclosed by the authorities.
