Billy is a Scottish actor and musician best known for his role as Pippin in The Lord of the Rings. He also played Barret Bonden in Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World and Glen in the 2004 comedy/thriller Seed of Chucky. He also played Malky in the 2006 film The Flying Scotsman. Boyd made his debut in 1996 with appearances in Taggart, The Soldier’s Leap, and Urban Ghost Story (1998). In 1997, he appeared in a performance of David Greig’s Caledonia Dreaming by 7:84 Theater Company Scotland. He made his acting debut as Peregrin “Pippin” in the Lord of the Rings trilogy from 2001 to 2003.
