Benazir Income Support Program increases assistance for beneficiaries up to Rs. 8,500

The Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) has increased its quarterly support for the beneficiaries of the Benazir Kafalat Program 2023 from Rs. 7,000 to Rs. 8,500, according to a BISP spokesperson.

The scheme has disbursed installments from January to March to 9 million beneficiaries, with the government allocating more than Rs 83 billion this quarter. The Benazir Education Grant is also released quarterly, with the children of BISP beneficiaries eligible for the benefit if they maintain a attendance rate above 70 percent.

Beneficiaries in Islamabad, Punjab, Sindh and Balochistan can receive their payments from Habib Bank ATMs or designated centers, while those in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit Baltistan have to go to the Bank. Al Falah shop.

Eligibility for the program can be checked by sending the CNIC number in SMS to 8171. This program was formerly known as the Ehsaas Kafalat Program and renamed the Benazir Kafalat Program after the government of Imran Khan was overthrown through a motion of no confidence.
