This was confirmed by a family member, but the family is yet to issue an official statement.Doëseb was born in 1954 in Okahandja into a musical family – his father Casper played the violin and his sister Mathilde was a singer. He was also exposed to music during his school years, when he took piano lessons at Martin Luther High School in Okombahe, and eventually joined the band The Ugly Creatures, which earned him and his bandmates the label of “pioneers of church and dance stage music.”
