The suspect nearly hit a woman named Suha Sleibi when she rushed to her brand new Honda.
Sleibi jumped out of the way when her car suffered thousands of dollars in damage. She speaks,
“I don’t think she’s going to hit me, to be honest. I think by standing there will stop her. Unfortunately, it had the opposite effect and she lunged at me.”
She then led the police in a brief chase as she drove south on Highway 5 toward San Juan Capistrano, where she was stopped.
She is said to have struggled when police tried to get her out of the car but eventually gave up, according to Sgt. Michael Woodroof.
