Angela Zahn Obituary: Member of St. Martin Lutheran Church dies at 39 in Clintonville, WI

Neenah, Wisconsin – On September 4, 2023, Angela S. Zahn, aged 39, passed away unexpectedly at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Neenah, leaving her family and community in deep sorrow. Angela’s life was marked by love, compassion, and a dedication to her family, her work, and her faith.

Angela was born on June 1, 1984, to Carl Jr. and Sue Zahn. She began her educational journey at St. Martin Lutheran and Clintonville Schools, graduating in 2002. Angela then made the Fox Valley her home, establishing deep roots. She was a devoted and nurturing mother to her children, and her dedication extended to her career as a Manager for US Bank. Angela’s love for her family was further evident in her passion for travel, creating cherished memories together.

Angela’s faith was an essential part of her life. She was a member of St. Martin Lutheran Church in Clintonville before relocating to the Fox Valley, where she continued her spiritual journey through Pathways in Appleton. Angela’s faith inspired her to make a positive impact on her community. She donated to charities overseas, volunteered at homeless shelters, and supported Special Olympic events, partnering with children involved in these activities.

Angela’s untimely passing is a profound loss to her family. She is survived by her fiancé and partner of 12 years, Scott Gilliam, as well as their son, Justice Gilliam. Angela’s other son, Jordan Peters, and Scott’s children, Payton and Brynn Gilliam, were also deeply cherished by her. Her parents, Carl and Sue Zahn, Jr., her paternal grandfather, Carl Zahn, Sr., her brother, Carl R. Zahn, along with his daughter Zoey, and Scott’s parents, Dave and Donna Gilliam, grieve her loss. Angela also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Robert and Lulabelle Klemp, paternal grandmother Paula Zahn, uncles Mark and David Zahn, and a nephew, Lincoln Zahn.

A memorial service to celebrate Angela’s life will take place on Monday, September 11, 2023, at 6:00 PM at St. Martin Lutheran Church in Clintonville, officiated by Rev. Jason Zobel. Prior to the service, a visitation will be held at the church from 4:00 PM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, Angela’s family will establish a memorial fund. They would like to express their gratitude to the Clintonville Police Department for their immediate attention and assistance during this difficult time. The Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory of Clintonville is assisting the family with arrangements. Angela’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved and cherished her.
