The starting point of the tour will be at the Polish War Cemetery, where the 160 Polish soldiers who died during the liberation of Breda are buried. Also interred here is General Maczek, who died in 1994. At the cemetery, both the King and President Duda will lay wreaths.
Then there will be a visit to De Rooi Pannen School, where children from different schools will talk about their views on freedom and peace and how they can personally participate. Finally, the independence parade of veterans and historical figures will be watched by King Willem-Alexander and President Duda.
The Netherlands will celebrate 75 years of freedom in 2019 and 2020, and members of the Royal Family will be present at a number of commemorative and commemorative events.
