The book has sold more than 90,000 copies worldwide and has been translated into seven different languages thanks to its growing popularity. For the Tough Times, Alison’s second novel, was published in 2002. In addition, the movie “Alison” was released on May 30, 2016.
Alison Botha sexually abused
Botha was threatened by a knife-wielding man on December 18, 1994, while she was returning to her apartment in Port Elizabeth after spending the night with friends. She was then directed to the next seat, and the attacker drove her car to retrieve his accessories.
She was taken by crooks to a desolate area outside of town. It is Frans du Toit and Theuns Kruger who are the criminals. They tried to strangle her after they raped her first.
They also stabbed her 37 times in the stomach because Theuns wanted to have her reproductive organs removed. They then abandoned her, leaving her with numerous wounds. The perpetrators were found guilty and sentenced to life in prison with no chance of being released.
