Who is Alejandro Martí?
For more than 20 years, this entrepreneur has overseen Grupo Mart, founded in 1936 by Domingo Mart Riera and his son Domingo Mart Fortn, who opened the company’s first location in the country’s capital. Alejandro Mart’s decision to sell Grupo Mart to industrialists Alfredo Harp Hel and Alfredo Harp Calderoni in 2007 shocked the business world. They offered a price of 6.067 million pesos for a 100% stake in the company.
