Alan Davies is an English comedian, actor and independent writer. Since 1997, he has starred in the BBC mystery series Jonathan Creek. Furthermore, since 2003 he is the only permanent panelist on the BBC’s QI programme, outstripping colleagues Stephen Fry (2003-2016) and Sandi Toksvig (2016-present), who have took over after Fry’s departure.
