Cause of Aaron’s death
Aaron Carter, singer of “I Want Candy,” was found dead at his home in early November, surrounded by compressed air and prescription bottles. He was 34.
Because Aaron had no water in his lungs, the coroner ruled out drowning as a cause of death.
Martin later told TMZ that she and Jane believed he had taken a drug from an agent who texted Aaron that he “is owed $800 for an unidentified substance.”
Aaron allegedly told the unidentified person that he “didn’t need the substance,” but the contact told him he still had to pay. The last message of the sequence is said to show Aaron asking if he was “threatened”.
Martin and Jane concluded from their exchange that Aaron had met the potential drug dealer and “taken a substance that could eventually kill him.”
