Jay Blades, 52, married Lisa Zbozen, 42, on November 22, 2022. Blades revealed all that went on on their wedding day in a recent interview with Hello! Magazine. Zbozen continued:
“When you reach a certain age, you realize what is really needed on any given day – and that is having people around who accept you for who you are.” So we made it our day.”
The big day was held at a beach house in Barbados, only 15 people were invited. According to Blades, only the closest members of their family are there. Jay says he’s not an emotional person, but he cried at the wedding. He continued:
“It was almost as if I had tunnel vision, and all I could see was Lisa.” And, honestly, that’s when it struck me. ‘Now we are actually married!’ I cried out. That was the only time I became really emotional.”
Blades wore a black linen suit and bridal gown made by Birmingham-based Romantic Dress Bridal. The Repair Shop’s Richard Talman created rings for the couple, which include their birth stones. Lisa says she doesn’t want a perfect wedding ring because she feels nothing is perfect. The couple have begun preparing another party for next year, which will invite family members and friends, as well as names from The Repair Shop.

Blades was previously married to Jade, with whom he founded the Out of the Dark organization. Their divorce in 2015 caused complications for the organization, causing huge losses and Jay himself had financial difficulties.
