27yrs old Evan Mallatt dies following a deadly car accident Brandon: Obituary

In a devastating incident that unfolded on Sunday, December 17, 2023, the Brandon community mourns the loss of 27-year-old Evan Mallatt, a longtime resident of the South Dakota city. The accident, which claimed Mallatt’s life, occurred when his 1997 Chevrolet CK 107 failed to stop at the T-intersection with 480th Avenue, resulting in a collision with an embankment.

Evan Mallatt, known for his residence in Brandon and contributions as a hardworking individual, succumbed to injuries sustained in the tragic car accident. Unfortunately, Mallatt was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the incident, and alcohol use is currently under investigation, according to preliminary reports from the South Dakota Highway Patrol.

The accident, under investigation by the South Dakota Highway Patrol, unfolded as Mallatt’s vehicle became airborne after failing to stop at the intersection. Tragically, Evan Mallatt was pronounced dead at the scene.
