2 student injured after stabbing at Monhagen Middle School in Middletown

Reports have emerged of an alarming incident at Monhagen Middle School in Middletown, New York, leading to a temporary lockdown. According to official statements released by the Town of Wallkill Police Department around 9 a.m. on Wednesday, December 13th, 2023, an unsettling event occurred on the school premises. Sources indicate that a student brought a knife to school, resulting in a stabbing that left two students injured and currently hospitalized.

For the safety of all students, parents and guardians have been advised against immediate visits to the campus. The school administration has announced that no parental access will be granted until after the bus dismissal, scheduled to commence at 9:45 a.m. Parents or guardians opting not to use the school bus service for their children will be permitted to pick them up post dismissal.

As a security measure, all roads leading to the school will remain closed until the completion of bus dismissals from the MMS campus.
