Initial reports indicated a heated argument between two individuals outside the mall, culminating in gunfire that resulted in the tragic loss of a victim who succumbed to injuries after being transported to the hospital.
The altercation escalated when one of the individuals involved brandished a firearm, leading to the shooting. The suspect quickly fled the crime scene through the mall’s parking lot, prompting a thorough search by authorities, yet the suspect remains at large.

“*BREAKING* Shooting Outside Woodland Hills Mall:Tulsa Police are on the scene at the mall where they say one person has been shot after an argument and fight outside the North doors of the mall. The victim has been taken to the hospital and is in critical condition.“Police say this was not an active shooter situation. It was an insolated incident.Police believe the shooter ran through the mall parking lot and left the area.Police say people are safe to leave the mall through the south doors.We will update when we learn more. “
In response to the situation, authorities have directed those present at the mall to evacuate safely through the southern entrances, emphasizing that this was not categorized as an active shooter scenario. Captain Richard Meulenberg of the Tulsa Police Department clarified, “At present, this does not align with an ‘Active Shooter’ incident. Evidence points to a confrontation between the suspect and victim, resulting in gunfire. Our primary focus remains on securing the mall and ensuring public safety.”
