Mike Hodges, a renowned film and television director, died on December 17 at the age of 90. The cause of death was not mentioned and his medical history is currently unavailable. Michael Gordon, a writer and publisher, paid tribute to him on social media by tweeting several photos of official Hodges-designed posters. Gordon stated:
“A living movie. You should not suffocate it. Never over-direct, over-visualize, over-research, or start with a preconceived notion of how things should be done.”
Director David L Knight also shared his sadness on his official Facebook page, posting a photo of Hodges and writing:
“I am deeply saddened to learn of the death of Mike Hodges. Flash Gordon will always have a special place in my heart. RIP for a great British film giant.
Hodges is best known for his contributions to films such as Pulp, The Terminal Man, Flash Gordon, A Prayer for the Dying, and others. He has worked on television shows such as Rumor, Suspect, The Manipulators, Florida Straits, and others.

Michael Tommy Hodges, born July 29, 1932, began his career as a teleprompter operator for television programs. He immediately began to explore his screenwriting abilities, despite the fact that he was not working on any major projects at the moment.
